I’m a Penetration Tester and AppSec leader with several published CVE records and certifications including OSWE, OSCP, BSCP, and GWAPT. Before getting into Cyber Security, I jumped out of planes and ran around in the woods with a machine gun for a living. Found out you could hack computers and not go to prison. I have been hooked since.

I’m passionate about giving back to the security community. I lead the OWASP Knoxville chapter, where we hold regular meetups covering application security, AI, SecDevOps, and whatever else the community is curious about. I’ve given talks on topics like exploiting business logic flaws, file upload security risks, and the OWASP Top 10. Building a local security community from the ground up has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve done in this industry. I also stay involved through conferences like DEFCON, SAINTCON, BSides, and SnowFROC — whether that means competing in CTFs, attending workshops, or just connecting with like-minded people.

This blog exists because I believe in sharing what I learn. The security community gave me so much on my journey, and this is my way of paying it forward.

I’m a Christian, husband, and father. My faith is the foundation of everything I do, and it drives a deep calling to serve others. Outside of being a nerd, I enjoy lifting weights, running, shooting, and playing chess. 2024 Baptism
